Q: Do you use power tools to sharpen any edge?
No I do not. I start with file work to correct any major issues on axes/mauls/hatchets, use files to establish the requested/required angle for your specific use and finish off with a guided rod system with Diamond and natural stones. I then use a strop to remove any burr’s that may exist which provides a finely polished edge.
Q: Do you use harmful chemicals in your process of rejuvenating the items sent to you?
No I do not use harmful chemicals at any point of my process to rejuvenate your item.
Q: What product do you use to treat the handles you hang the heads on?
I have been using Boiled Linseed Oil to treat all of my handles. I normally put 3 or 4 coats on the handles. Should you have a preferred product for this process step, I would certainly entertain using that product should it be available to me.
